Syrenka Media Lab Terms of Use
Effective from: November 2024
1. What is this about?
This terms of use is a simple contract between us and you. We are Syrenka Media Lab, a team from Warsaw that has been making noise online since September 2017. We sit at 37 Tamka St and from here we deliver for our clients. If you use our site or buy services from us, you agree to these rules. We don't like fluff, so we wrote this so everyone understands what's going on. If something doesn't suit you, simply don't use our services. But if you want your brand to finally move forward, then read on.
We operate as a team of 9 people. Each of us has their role, from editing to Ads. Everything we do has one goal: increase your profits and reach. This terms of use determines how we work, what we take money for, and what happens when internet game rules change. This is important because social media changes every week, and we must have clear rules to act efficiently.
2. What do we do for you?
Our offer is concrete. We create video for TikTok and Reels – in 2023 we released exactly 412 of them. We connect brands with influencers from our database of 87 proven creators. We also manage Facebook and Instagram accounts for 23 permanent clients and set up Meta Ads so as not to burn your cash. Sometimes we also go out into the city with murals or stickers.
Each service has its rules. With video we agree on a specific number of films per month. With Ads we establish budget and goals. Remember that we deliver content and technical settings, but we don't have the keys to Mark Zuckerberg's or TikTok's servers. We make noise that sells, but the final result also depends on your product and how you serve the customers we bring you.
3. What do we need from you?
For us to deliver, you must cooperate with us. We need access to your social media accounts, product photos, or information about your company. If we agree on recordings in our studio on Tamka, you must show up on time. If you delay sending materials by two weeks, don't have grievances that the campaign doesn't start on time. We act fast – our support responds on average in 47 minutes – and we expect the same from you.
You must also provide us with true data. If you run a company, we need a Tax ID for the invoice. If you sell something that requires special permits, you must tell us. We don't take responsibility if your offer breaks the law or social platform rules. We play clean and expect the same from everyone who works with us.
4. Cash and invoices matters
The prices of our services are clear and we have no hidden costs. A video package starts from 3,200 PLN per month, and full service from 6,400 PLN. For special urban actions, we issue a separate quote. We accept payments by bank transfer to the account given on the invoice. Usually we work on a prepayment model or monthly payments if we manage your profiles permanently.
If you don't pay an invoice on time, we have the right to stop work. We won't upload scheduled films and we'll turn off Ads. It's simple: we give 100% so your business grows, and you pay us for this time and knowledge. Check our numbers – investing in us usually pays off very fast, so watching payment deadlines is simply good business for both sides.
5. Rights to films and graphics
When we create a TikTok film or graphic for you, you pay to use it. You have the right to publish these materials on your accounts and promote your company with them as long as you want. However, raw video materials, projects in graphic programs, and our proprietary scripts belong to Syrenka Media Lab. You cannot sell them to other companies without our written consent.
If an influencer from our database appears in the film, the right to use their image is usually time-limited (e.g., for a year). We record all this in specific orders. We ensure you have full right to advertise, but we also respect the work of our editors and creators. If you want to buy out full copyrights to everything we create, we can talk about it for an additional fee.
6. What if something goes wrong?
The internet is an unpredictable place. Sometimes the TikTok algorithm changes and reach falls. Sometimes Facebook blocks an ad account without clear reason. In such situations we act immediately to fix it, but we cannot take financial responsibility for the decisions of giant tech corporations. We also don't respond for your lost profits if a campaign doesn't go as well as an optimistic scenario assumed.
Our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us for a given project or last month of cooperation. We don't do fluff – we promise diligent work and use of all our knowledge (built since 2017), but we are not fortunetellers. If a mistake lies evidently on our side, e.g., we run an ad with a typo in the price, we'll fix it as fast as possible and level the losses as part of subsequent actions.
7. Parting and end of contract
Usually we sign indefinite contracts with a one-month notice period. We want you to work with us because we'll deliver and you see results, not because a thick file of papers holds you. If you want to resign, let us know by email. We'll finish paid projects, hand over accesses and part in peace. Many companies for which we worked return to us after a few months with new projects.
We can also terminate cooperation if, e.g., you notoriously don't pay invoices or communication with you is impossible. We respect our time and the mental health of our 9-person team. Marketing is a team sport – if we don't play to one goal, it's better to stop wasting both sides' time. All materials for which you paid up to the contract end date stay with you.
8. Law and courts
We are a Warsaw company and try to solve all our disputes over coffee at Tamka. If that doesn't help, the matter will be settled by the court competent for our headquarters in Warsaw. Polish law applies to us. These terms can change because the advertising market rushes forward. We'll inform you about every large change by email with a 14-day lead. If after this time you continue to use our services, it means you accept the new rules.
